Finally... Am able to feel that things are starting to move... I am doing more work now and getting better with practice. However, there are still a lot of things to learn. Glad that my superior has been very patient with me. Maybe our boss will come into the office tomorrow, he is back. I dont think anyone appreciates that. Hahaha... Everyone will be even more busy than we already are.
Add a couple more crystals at my workplace. So far, I am pleased with the arrangements. Lol... I did not bring my pyramid crystal to the workplace. The crystal shop owner told me that the Yuyouling will make me very 'noticeable'. Hence, I choose to replace it with a less 'noticeable' Yuyouling, one with less green in it. =p
Haiz... Poor Hui Jiejie is going crazy with work. I can understand... Everything is so messy, how to do? Moreover, have to do everything by scratch within the short time frame!

Element Water
I am a very, and I really mean very, watery person. When I told Sara what the crystal shop owner said, she laughed and said I never doubt that you are not water, your characters tell all. Lol...
I am a Piscean. Looking at chinese astrology, I am a metal monkey since I am born in 1980. But using numerology to add up my birthdate, I am actually of the water element. Lol... Too watery for my own good.
Today was a quiet day for me. Yes, I like this very much. I stayed in my room and thought about things in my life. I dont know whether I had any insights. Maybe I did, maybe I did not. Lol... I cant remember exactly what they are anymore.

Elements
Lol... Today was a pretty interesting day.
First, I was really surprised to find two books on crystals on my desk when I went to work today. Danny put them on my desk. For me to read, he said. Hehehe... Our common interest - crystals. We had 'common' items on our desk, a plant and some crystals. And coincidently, we sat in a straight row with me in front, followed by Randy, then Danny, then Gerald. Hmm... Energy seems pretty harmonised to me. Hahaha...
Then we girls met up to shop for crystals. At the crystal shop, we learnt another very interesting thing. All of us are of different elements. Hui is metal, I am water, Mei is fire and Winnie is earth. Jokingly, we commented that maybe we should go and find another wood element friend to complete the set. Hehehe...
Girls, please take good care of yourselves alright. Hope all of you enjoy today. I do! Hope that everybody will be feeling better the next time we meet. God bless.

Settling Down
Alright, I learnt some more things today... And I got to do more hands on! Yippee... Hehehe... I had done a little hands on with Danny's computer the other time. But I was so lost! Hopefully, I will get the hang of everything when I can practice on my computer. ;)
Then I learnt that my colleague, Randy is just a month older than me in the company. Hahaha... Yeah! I am not so alone afterall. Danny is teaching me the work Randy is doing right now. I suppose I will be replacing him while he moves on to the more difficult ones. I saw Gerald teaching him new things today.

Waiting
Felt like waiting for donkey years for my office computer to come. It better be a brand new one!!!!!I cannot do any work because I dont have the computer. Why? Because my work is done mainly in the database! Haiz...
Hence, since last Thursday I had been staring around the office. Haiz... I think my eyes want to pop out already. Lol... But luckily, I still have some things that are pleasant for my eyes. My plant and crystal fish bowl!
My superior, Danny is nice. Despite that he is so busy, he still forks out the time to teach me patiently. Then he let me use his computer for a little hands on today. As the M1 people are coming for a talk to advertise their mobile plans, my superior printed out a copy of the email for me. ^-^
Hehehe... I am the only girl in my department. Apart from Danny, there are Gerald and Randy. Everybody is nice lah but rather boring. Looks like all workaholics there. Working means work kind of environment. Dont know whether I can/have the chance to msn or not?
I kind of like Great World City... Though not much of a shopping, but at least there is some shopping. Then there are plenty of places for you to have a nice cheap lunch. Just across the road, there is the Zion Riverside Food Centre. Further down, there is another food centre. And coffee shops among the Zion Road HDB flats.
Moreover, the Great World City Management offers shuttle bus service to their office tenants. I have to pay to make the card though but it will be a good investment. They offer the shuttle buses to Orchard Road and Tiong Bahru.

Silly Willie
Aww... Cant bear to leave QAD... I will miss all of them here.
We went to the Tonkichi Japanese Restaurant downstairs to have our lunch today. Food was great but despite the fact that I only ordered a Tempura soba meal instead of a set, I still cannot finish it. Lol... Meal was also great, very enjoyable. We had lots of fun and laughters, all because of Silly Willie. I am going to change his nickname from Willie Cookie to Silly Willie now. He no longer eats biscuits/cookies like a cookie monster. The moment he starts, he cant stop. Hence, he is refraining from them completely. But he still has a lot of antics.
When their salmon wraps came, Willem took his and started eating. He bit from the bottom up and all of us looked at him with bewildered eyes. Then Hongkong boss joking/solemnly said, "I like Bots, I always learn new things whenever I am with him." Had a good laugh over that.
Then Yong was wondering how the term 'Go dutch' came about and he wanted to ask Willem because he is a Dutch. "No, you cant. This Dutch doesnt know." Jenny told Yong. Then she revealed about the 'Go dutch' incident which happened some time ago. Apparantly, Willem did not understand about the term 'Go dutch'. After a meal, Jenny suggested that they went dutch. Willem's responses were, "No no no!!!" He thought that the Dutch had to pay the meal for everyone. Then Boss looked at him like looking at a little kid and asked, "Bots, do you know what does 'Go dutch' mean?" "Paying for your own?" "Yes, good." Lol... All of us doubled with laughters.
Willem had a meeting this afternoon and he will be in Shanghai tomorrow. As today was the last day that he will see me around in the office, he wanted to bid me goodbye. However, I happened to go to the ladies at that time. Hence, Silly Willie went around the whole office asking/looking for Sally Belly. Lol... This is so embarrassing. But I am really touched by his gesture. ^-^

Office Today
Geraldine came into the office very early this morning. Lol... She was even earlier than me. Then our Hongkong boss came into the office right on the dot, 9 am sharp. He congratulated me upon getting my permanent job when he saw me. He said that they did not like to see me go but they had no choice as they could not offer me one due to their low headcount. Oh wells...
Anyway, I joined them for lunch. We went to Sundanese Restaurant again. Willem wanted to eat a light lunch as he was on a diet. However he failed when he tried to convince the boss otherwise. Boss said, "Bots, cant we go to the Sundanese? I am not often in Singapore, you know." Lol...
We had a very filling meal. There was brani rice, mee siam, curry chicken, grilled fish, grilled squid, fried fish, butter prawn and chili kangkong. Hehehe... Of course, gluttonous me will not forget about desserts. So I had some more fruits, agar agar and green bean soup.

Big Deal
Alright... Everyone in QAD knows that I am leaving, even my Hongkong boss, Mr Yip. Lol... Dont know if I am lucky or what, they are going to start the BI and AIM campaign. Dont know what they are, so dont ask me. Anyway, the new girl is going to have a lot of work to do when she comes. Definitely plenty of phone calls - Calls for UCA, BI and AIM campaign and Asean Conference. Hehehe... Good luck!
I wondered how Winnie is... I think I saw or heard somewhere that Taiwan had an earthquake, measuring 6+ on the richter scale. Though there is nobody reported to be hurt or injured, I am still concerned for my friend.
Yeah, I agree with Hui. I deemed most of the rules and regulations ridiculous too. But I must say I am impressed with Hui. Lol... Hardly ever seen her write such long post, this is the first time. Everything is clearly stated and straight forward. Nevertheless, I hope I wont be encountering these problems in my new company.
Stella failed her Mathematics and might have just passed the rest in her prelims. Happy go lucky... My parents had an argument over this last night. Mum was lamenting that Stella is not a person of study material, no matter how she was scolded and pushed, she is just not studying hard. Hence, there is nothing that she can do. Then my dad retorted that if my mum had not been bringing her out so often, she would have more time to spend on her studies. I have no comments!

Sent For Repair
Haiz... Finally sent the computer in my room for repair... It is going to cost a bomb - a few hundred bucks with a little upgrade as well? The repairman aka Alex's friend, Jason, said that its ram is not enough for running. Anyway, he will come back with the different options soon. And while he was here, he took a look at the computer in the living room too. Hahaha... He was really professional, got rid of all the unwanted stuffs in less than an hour.
Rara bought/borrowed back a Yangqin. And it was placed in my room. Her teacher wanted her to practice with/on it. Hehehe... I find it pretty space taking. But, there is no choice. If it is not placed in the room, where can she place it? Lol... Anyway, I took the chance to play with it too. Awww... Long time never touch yangqin liao... All that I had learnt during my Junior College Chinese Orchestra days had been returned to the teacher. =p

In Transition
They always said that the end of something is the beginning of another... Jenny went back to the office yesterday and Geraldine announced to everyone that I am leaving the company soon. Hence, Jenny came to talk to me. My 2 years in QAD has been very pleasant indeed, they are all very nice people. I will miss all of them, hope that we will be keeping in touch.
Lol... Yong was in the office this week, Mr Tanski will be in next week, Hk boss will be coming in on my last few days. Look at it another way, everyone seems to come at exactly the right time to say good byes. 14th Sept would be my last day in QAD and the new girl will be coming in too. I will teach her and hand over the duties that day. On the 15th Sept, I will be in my new company, Kouk, at Great World City.
This year end period is the busiest period at Kouk. I dont know how things go, especially when I have lots of learning, adjusting and coping to be done. I might not be able to spend so much time online. But taking things one step at a time, they will be fine. ^-^
