Learnt from Randy that the new colleague was a perm. Yippee! One more person to share the workload with. But on the other hand, was having mixed feelings... Economy was going down... Wonder wonder... Uncertain of the future? Finally got to know how old was he. Lol... He really doesnt look like he was just 21... Anyway, decided to nickname him new boy. Hehe... I like this new boy better than new guy. Maybe because he was a faster learner? And more keen to learn too.
Saw the "Hei Dian" that Aqua mentioned in her blog. Happened to pass by when I went to Tampines to have my hair done before the Chinese New Year. It really was black and red as she said. If there was no price list which they put outside the shop for customers to browse through, I dont think anybody would know that it was actually a hairdresser shop. Like Aqua, I wondered if any customers would like to patronize it and if the business is good. On the other hand, if it was still around, I guess it should be making enough to survive?
Had our reunion lunch with Dar dar's extended family on 18th Jan, seafood lunch at Long Beach. Had my first Yu Sheng tossing there. Had our reunion dinner with my parents on 23rd Jan... It was an enjoyable dinner with my 2nd Yu Sheng tossing. We had double share Yu Sheng that night because I bought and Dad brought back too. Hehe... Had steamboat and BBQ. Then we had our final reunion dinner on Chinese New Year Eve at Ah Ma's place. Gu Chays said wanna have a change so we had malay food buffet. Hehe...
Same as last year, visited my hubby's side relatives with my hubby's family on the 1st day Chinese New Year and 2nd day dedicated to my parents. The different feeling was that we had our little son along... My parents were so happy to be able to sit in our car and helped us mind the naughty little guy. :) Naughty boy had grown and it was such a joy to see how he had grown. Sometimes, I really wished that I can have more time to spend with him rather than work.
Dad was admitted to the hospital yesterday. He was not feeling very well due to his skin condition. Doctor took his blood for tests and found out that he was diabetic. Gotta watched his diet properly. Cannot eat too much sweet stuffs. And the lots of carbohydrates food too as they will be breaking down into sugars. Nagged and nagged at him in the hospital when I visited him today. Hope that he will look after himself while I was not at home...
Wonder when the next meeting with the girls would be... Aqua's birthday is coming. Should be soon. Hehe...
