Fun Together

Actually, we wanted to go to Bedok for shopping and dinner. As we bought ice-cream from shopping at the NTUC Supermarket, had to return home to put them into the freezer. Managed to ask Didi to join us for dinner, which Uncle was pleased. Notty Dar dar kept teasing me during the dinner and Uncle joined in the fun too. Bleah!

We played maple when we came back. Didi was using Dar dar's laptop as his would be laggy. Hence, Dar dar and me exchanged laptops. Borrowed Uncle's latop to play together as mine was at home. But I dont mind using Didi's laptop. I just simply enjoy the game better when we play and have fun together. :)

Jiji was online too with her friend, Eikwei. Lol... We went to get the armoured pigs. All of us working together. Other players at the same site felt that we were crazy?

Eikwei was the cleric while Dar dar was a lightning and ice mage. He freezed the pigs with ice and we all attack! Eikwei helped to attack and healed us when needed. Managed to get a lvl 11 archer and lvl 32 mage there safely without dying and killed a number of the pigs! Lol...

Didi didnt join us at the armoured pigs' but think he was rolling over with laughter reading our conversation. :p

For One More Day

Met Dar dar on Thursday evening and went shopping for a book. We went to Kinokuniya because he had a 20 dollars voucher there. I bought the book "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom.

Have read/bought his two earlier books "Tuesdays With Morries" and "The Five People You Meet In Heaven". "Tuesdays With Morries" was given to me as a birthday present by my friend, Winnie and I finished the whole book in just one afternoon. :)

Found his books very meaningful, hence they fascinated me. There are certain values that I couldnt agree more with. My favourite phrase from "For One More Day" - You have one family. For good or bad, you have one family. You cant trade them in. You cant lie to them. You cant run two at once, substituting back and forth. Sticking with your family is what makes it a family.

Window Vista

Window Vista seems to be a little too delicate and protected?

First, it gave me problems with the driver compatibility... Tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the driver patch given a few times because it simply refused to accept. In the end, Dar dar had to use recovery to go back in time and uninstall and reinstall before it decided to work. Am encountering problem with detecting/installing another printer and mouse too. Guess have to go back in time and try again.

Secondly, I had transfered the photos I have taken on my camera mobile phone onto my desktop. They are there and they are not there... Am sure that the photos have been transfered but cant find them anywhere. Wondered what went wrong, I have no problem with my old computer using window xp.

These are frustrating...

June Bangkok Holiday

Yay yay... Am looking forwards to the holidays in early June. Went down to Chinatown to pay the deposits on Friday. :) A 3 days 2 nights Free & Easy Tour which we extended 2 more days.

Initially, Hiong was going to go with us but it was too expensive for a single traveller. Hence, there was a change of plans. We had decided on staying at Pathumwan Princess Hotel which is not only one of the better hotels but right in the middle of the city as well. Dar dar said it was my first trip so wanted me to have a memorable time. ^-^

Asked him whether we would borrow his dad's camera for phototaking. Dont have a good camera else I might have to buy. My first real holiday, how can I not take photos for remembrance? :p

IT Projects

Finished the whole lot of IT projects at home...

Hehe... Dar dar and I went to Sim Lim to buy the parts for the new DIY desktop. Managed to put everything together in running conditions. The young ones were thrilled to have a faster running pc. Afterall, the old desktops were only Plantium 3 while the new one is dual core.

Managed to get the wireless network working! Lol... After all these years! Bought the router many years back but didnt know how to set it up. ^-^ Now I can even access the internet from my laptop and in future, when Mum bought Little Sara her the laptop too. :)

My laptop's roxio driver was not compatible with one of the window vista's updates. Luckily for me, Dar dar managed to help me fix the bug after many tries. Am so happy happy... No more error message prompts. :)
