Glad that no one is around at the moment. Mum and the two youngest sisters went to Auntie Sharon's place to stay. Dont know when they will be back. Probably tonight because Sara has to go for her piano lesson tomorrow. Peace and quiet.
Last night, Dad was rumbling away. I was rather pissed off. When I can finally find some time for peace and quiet, he wanted to make 'noise'. Lol... Haiz... I ignored him. Please... Dont do, then dont do. Want to do, then dont complain. Dont think anyone of them treated this place as home. This is more like a shelter, a roof over their heads, that's all. Why must everyone calculate how much they have done? Arent they supposed to be done freely and given unconditionally?
Mum asked me to pay for the broadband internet subscription. It is not that I dont want to pay but my pay is not much. I am just a temp staff with hourly pay. My pay is not any much higher than hers in total. I still have my insurances and repay back my dad's cpf. I offered to pay half of the subscription and she rejected. Lol... Either in full or none at all. I am disappointed.
Glad that this is the end of the quarter. Managed to get 82 files out of our target 90. Geraldine was happy, I am alright. At least, we are near to the target. I am rather scared to think what is to come, 120 files next quarter. Honestly, I dont think that is reachable. Hopefully, the boss will adjust the number.
I have a new Jiejie. Hehehe... Geena Jiejie. She is very nice. We are pretty similar in lots of ways. I guess that is why we clicked. Lol... We shared a number of things, especially tarot cards. She said she is going to make pouches for my tarot decks. Yeah! Then she said that she is going to lend me her notes for her tarot cards reading course. Yippee! Thanks, Geena Jie!

Esplanade

I went to the Esplanade with my friends on Saturday. We had lots of fun.
This year, our National day parade will be held at the Padang. A number of roads will be closed for the event. Saturday happened to be one of the preview/rehearsal. There were many people and police around. From graduates who were just there to take photos to people who wanted to have a closer look at the fireworks display later on and took photos.
At 5pm, police blocked up the closed roads. Lol... Hiong and I walked a long way back to the Esplanade because we were at the wrong side of the bridge when they blocked it. We had arranged to meet Pk at the Esplanade. We had to walk to City Hall and travelled via the Citylink to the Esplanade.
We saw the helicopters and the airplanes. They gave an excellent performace. No wonder a lot of people want to go to the parade despite it being so hot and crowded. It gave me a very wonderful feeling just being near there.
Then later, we saw the army vehicles... The tanks, signal trucks etc... I was like a little kid, waving and waving to our soldiers. Lol... Then we moved downwards, nearer to the sea to see the fireworks.
Hiong, Pk and I stood around and chatted as we waited patiently for the fireworks to come. They were so beautiful. Wow... Oooh... Wow... Everyone there was fascinated. Hiong recorded them down in his digital camera. If I can, I will try to show all of you the fireworks, here in my blog.
Finally, we went to Hans in Marina Square for dinner. I was so hungry. Lol... I had a slice of garlic bread and soup, then my grilled pork chop with a glass of orange juice and finally dessert, a swiss roll. I think the pork chop was grilled with rosemary leaves. It had a very fragrant smell. The pork chop was nice except that I felt that it would be nicer if it was more tender. Hehehe...
Thanks guys for the wonderful time.

Life Just Is
Hihi... How is everyone? It has been some time since I last put a post. Hehehe... Hui finally got msn. Did I tell you before? Anyway... Yippee... Welcome to the msn family. Lol... I am so crazy. Girls girls girls, when are we going to Coffee Club again? I want to eat the strawberry shortcake. Hahaha... Getting very greedy nowsadays. Lol... Hiaz... Very sianz in the office. So many people are rescheduling the deadline. And so many people sent in incomplete files. How to make quota like that? Stressed.
Serene's convocation was on last Wednesday. I took leave and went to the ceremony with my dad. We went there late. Hence, we sat on the 2nd storey. Lol... On my convocation, my parents sat on the 1st storey. I teased him that he would sit on the 3rd storey at Sara's convocation in the future. We sort of had a celebration by eating out together. It was great fun at the dinner. There was a number of jokes and we were all doubling with laughters.
I managed to finish the whole series of 'Jewel of The Palace', a korean drama series. Lol... Got very hooked once I started watching. But I am not the only one, Hui and her family are very hooked too. Well, I like the food chopping in the beginning and dislike the needle poking later. Though the life of the main lead was hard and difficult, she managed to overcome them and not stray. I am glad that the show has a happy ending. Yeah!!!
Grandaunt went for her medical appointment last Friday. The doctor (Actually is a medical officer) said that she had to go and take another/better x-ray to see her condition better. Hence, she needs to go down for another medical appointment at TTSH in August again. Grandaunt commented that they just want to 'eat' her money. Haiz... Dont know whether to agree or disagree.

Red Roses

It always make me cry whenever I read this story/poem... It is so touching...
Red roses were her favorites, her name was also Rose.
And every year her husband sent them, tied with pretty bows.
The year he died, the roses were delivered to her door.
The card said, "Be my Valentine", like all the years before.
Each year he sent her roses, and the note would always say,
"I love you even more this year, than last year on this day.
My love for you will always grow, with every passing year."
She knew this was the last time that the roses would appear.
She thought, he ordered roses in advance before this day.
Her loving husband did not know, that he would pass away.
He always liked to do things early, way before the time.
Then, if he got too busy, everything would work out fine.
She trimmed the stems, and placed them in a very special vase.
Then, sat the vase beside the portrait of his smiling face.
She would sit for hours, in her husband's favorite chair.
While staring at his picture, and the roses sitting there.
A year went by, and it was hard to live without her mate.
With loneliness and solitude, that had become her fate.
Then, the very hour, as on Valentines before, the doorbell rang.
And there were roses, sitting by her door.
She brought the roses in, and then just looked at them in shock.
Then, went to get the telephone, to call the florist shop.
The owner answered, and she asked him, if he would explain,
Why would someone do this to her, causing her such pain?
"I know your husband passed away, more than a year ago,"
The owner said, "I knew you'd call, and you would want to know.
The flowers you received today, were paid for in advance.
Your husband always planned ahead, he left nothing to chance.
There is a standing order, that I have on file down here.
And he has paid, well in advance, you'll get them every year.
There also is another thing, that I think you should know,
He wrote a special little card...he did this years ago.
Then, should ever I find out that he's no longer here,
That's the card...that should be sent, to you the following year."
She thanked him and hung up the phone, her tears now flowing hard.
Her fingers shaking, as she slowly reached to get the card.
Inside the card, she saw that he had written her a note.
Then, as she stared in total silence, this is what he wrote...
"Hello my love, I know it's been a year since I've been gone,
I hope it hasn't been too hard for you to overcome.
I know it must be lonely, and the pain is very real.
For if it was the other way, I know how I would feel.
The love we shared made everything so beautiful in life.
I loved you more than words can say, you were the perfect wife.
You were my friend and lover, you fulfilled my every need.
I know it's only been a year, but please try not to grieve.
I want you to be happy, even when you shed your tears.
That is why the roses will be sent to you for years.
When you get these roses, think of all the happiness,
That we had together, and how both of us were blessed.
I have always loved you and I know I always will.
But, my love, you must go on, you have some living still.
Please...try to find happiness, while living out your days.
I know it is not easy, but I hope you find some ways.
The roses will come every year, and they will only stop,
when your door's not answered, when the florist stops to knock.
He will come five times that day, in case you have gone out.
But after his last visit, he will know without a doubt,
To take the roses to the place, where I've instructed him,
And place the roses where we are, together once again."

Coffee Club And Paint
Hehehe... I had a very good time on Friday night with the girls. I am sooo craving for the desserts in Coffee Club. Hehehe... The last time I was there, I only had a mango something. Had forgotten its exact name but it is a drink, similar to a milkshake. I asked Hui and she agreed to go with me despite how tired she was. Then I asked Mei and she agreed to come too. Hahaha... We had a number of jokes and teasings, we were laughing and smiling throughout the dinner.
Hahaha... Well, the main craving is for the desserts in Coffee Club but the main courses look sooo appealing too. In the end, we had the full courses and desserts. Mei and I had Rosemary Chicken. Seeing Hui's Bangers And Mash, I want to eat that the next time. Lol... Cant stand me.
I had a Mint Chocolate Cake for dessert, Mei had a Chocolate Truffle and Hui had a Mango Mousse Cake. Hmm... Yummy yum yum... My Mint Chocolate Cake is made up of alternating thin layers of chocolate sponge and mint cream/mousse. Everyone had a try and said it is nice. Initially, I wanted to have a Strawberry Shortcake but it was sold out. That will be the dessert I am aiming for the next time I am going to Coffee Club. =p
Yesterday was great workout day. Hui managed to wake up to go to Mei's new house. :p We met in the Long John Silver. After lunch, we took bus 21 down. Hehehe... The whole journey is a breeze because I have done my research. Lol... We alighted exactly at Blk 33/34 and walked straight in. Hui said it looked as if we have been there many times. Hahaha... Mei's place is nice, on the 9th storey. It is a pretty breezy and certain views are unblocked. Not only can you see the clear blue sky, you can get to see some greenery.
We helped Mei to scape the uneven parts at first. Later, we left the scaping to her and started the painting. Hmm... Nobody talked much, we just painted and painted, hoping to help/paint as much as we can. Before we knew it, Mei declared that it was 6pm. Hahaha...
We knocked off not long after. Took a bathe at Mei's place before we left for dinner. Brian Gor and Mei treated us to Yong Tou Fu. It is really nice. Most Yong Tou Fu is fried but theirs is boiled. We had some fruits after dinner and Gor sent us home. Thanks, Gor and Mei!
I am going out with Grandaunt later. She said that she wants to go to the food fair in Bugis. Of course, gluttonous me wont refuse. Hehehe... I might get to taste food that I have not eaten before, you know.
