Missing Time

Been so busy that I hardly have time to sit down and slow down enough to reflect on myself, on stuffs. Just move along and move along everyday. It is even so now that work is eating into my time. One week out of every four weeks I have to stay behind in the office till 7pm on weekdays and 2.30pm on Saturday. I want my time back to spend with my family. I want my time back to spend with my friends. I want my time back to spend on my own. Myabe with OT pay I might be happier? But I have to change the OT duty with my colleagues if I am on leave. When will this stupid arrangement stop?!

I hope that I can go out with Ghimbo this Sunday. We have not met each other since my wedding day. She went to Malaysia to visit her cousins and siblings, where she stayed for a month. If I miss it, I dont know when I can meet up with her again. Heard that she would be going overseas again when I am back from mine. Then after the december trip, there is another trip to Bangkok. And she is considering her cousins' suggestions to go around Malaysia during Chinese New Year.

We have to settle the renovation stuffs by this week. Make all the decisions so that they can start work. Hopefully, they can finish when the television, the fridge and the washing machine come. Harvey Norman has to deliver the goods before year end so that year end, they can close their accounts for the financial year. That was what the salesman told us. Anyway, Unique Designs said they can finish the renovation in a month's time. Hmm... Anyway, meeting the Interior Designer after work at around 4.30-5pm on Saturday.

Deed sent me a link to join the Facebook. Saw that Eneristar is a member too. Aqua, how about you? I went inside and explored a little but logged off soon after. Have not gotten the time to explore further and make everything out. Eeah, it is a bit confusing. Hmm... Hopefully soon... Soon...

Proposal

Went around reading other people's bloggies and saw their wedding proposals. Hehe... Mine might not be as romantic as theirs, with the sea, the sky, the flowers and the ring, Nevertheless, I am very happy and touched. Like what Eneristar said, it is the ‘insides’ that counts the most.

Everytime we saw those wedding scenes in the television, He would look at me and ask, "When? When huh?" :$ I would change the topic and he did not ask me, "Will you marry me?" or "Will you be my wife?" All I remembered that day was Dar dar came over to my place for dinner with my family. One of those wedding scene again and he started his when and when huh again. He was more persistent than usual, so I told him to ask my Dad.

Dad was sitting on the sofa watching television. Dar dar walked right in front of him and asked him, "Can you marry your daughter to me?" As Jiji and Rara went also in the living room watching television, they heard. Dont know if Dad was honestly a little deaf or he wanted to hear it a few more times. "Huh?" "What did you say?" So Dar dar repeated a few times.

Both girls were pretending nothing was happening but giggling away. :$ Dad finally heard and told him yes. You can see my dar dar beaming away. Then he came back to me and said, "Yeah, your dad has given his approval!" After that we started making arrangements for the wedding proper...

Dad, Happy Birthday!

As dad's birthday fell on a Thursday, we had an early celebration with him. We felt that he would like to celebrate with everyone around, Mum was only available on Tuesday which was her off day. Initially, we wanted to go out for dinner but dad persuaded us to have dinner at home. He said, "Home cooked food is the best." We agreed with him.

Dar dar met me at GWC after work and we rushed down to Tampines to buy dad his ice cream birthday cake. Felt that an ice cream cake would be better as dad dont really like to eat cake but he enjoyed ice cream a lot. Mum also bought him a birthday cake. Hehe... Then Serene and Alex bought him the bottle of Choya and wrapped it up nicely like a sweet. Hope he liked all the arrangements...

We had a bbq as well as steamboat dinner. Dad went to buy the uncooked city satay to bbq ourselves. Had great fun and enjoyed ourselves very much. Serene kept taking food for Dad that he said, Notty notty Lingling. Enough, enough." Hehe... We had the cake a while after the dinner. Took out my camera to take photos. Took photos of him standing in front of the cake, beaming away as we sang the birthday song. Took photos of him making a wish before blowing out the candles. Took photos of him cutting the cake and eating it later.

Mum was sitting beside him as he ate his cake. She wished him a happy birthday and we teased them, "Kiss him! Kiss him!" Lol... Dad pretended not to hear and ignored all of us. Hope Dad had enjoyed the evening. Happy Birthday, Dad! Hugs hugs! ^-^
