We went down on a fruitless trip to our new home to wait for the furniture for the 5th time...
Went down to the shop to settle the delivery date and time with Mr Chua on last Saturday, also talked to Ms Jacqueline there. Mr Martin called us on Wednesday to confirm the date and time once again. Thought everything had been confirmed and arranged properly. Who knew...
Arranged with Hiong to come to our flat to watch vcds while waiting for the furniture. We knew only too well their rubber time having waited 4 times already. Called when when it reached the arranged time. Why didnt the furniture come?
They said that Mr Chua was hospitalised and nobody arranged the delivery. Huh? If one were sick, then you have to close down and no need to do business already lah? What do you mean by nobody knows about the delivery? What we ordered were in the invoice, black and white, the delivery date and timing confirmed by Mr Martin too. What is this?

Uptight Pisces
Pisces tend to be more emotional. Hence, they can get easily overwhelmed by what they are feeling too. This I know only too well being a pisces myself...
When work gets a bit more presurising by piling up a little more... When you want to spend time with family and friends and own but get into conflict with the amount of time you have to spend to finish some work... When having resigned and need to find a job soon so that you can contibute to the family... When having to fork out the time to study when you have to work and stuffs to be done... It becomes unbreathable.
Take good care of yourself, pisces. Take the break that you need, spend some quiet time on your own or with some friends. Can watch Vcds, the shows that you would like to watch... Can lie on the bed and read comic books... Can go to the park for a little walk... Can do a little jigsaw puzzle... You need to refresh yourself so that you can go a longer way. Hugs...

How To Dance In The Rain
It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's,arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.
I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch, and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.
On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.
The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health; he told me that she had been there for a
while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease.
As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are'?
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is'. I had to hold back tears as he left; I had goose bumps on my arm, and
thought, 'That is the kind of love I want in my life'.
True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.
I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did.
'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, But how to dance in the rain.'

Contentment
Have you ever, at any one time, had the feeling that life is bad, real bad, and you wish you were in another situation? You find life make things difficult for you, work sucks, life sucks, everything seems to go wrong... Read the following story... it may change your views about life:
After a conversation with one of my friends, he told me despite taking 2 jobs, he brings back barely above 1K per month, he is happy as he is.
I wonder how he can be as happy as he is considering he has to skimp his life with the low pay to support a pair of old parents, in-laws, a wife, 2 daughters and the many bills of a household. He explained that it was through one incident that he saw in India that happened a few years ago when he was really feeling low and
touring India after a major setback.
He said that right in front of his very eyes he saw an Indian mother chop off her child's right hand with a chopper. The helplessness in the mother's eyes, the scream of pain from the innocent 4-year-old child haunted him until today. You may ask why did the mother do so; had the child been naughty, had the child's hand been infected?? No, it was done for two simple words---TO BEG! The desperate mother deliberately caused the child to be handicapped so that the child could go out to the streets to beg.
Taken aback by the scene, he dropped a piece of bread he was eating half-way. And almost instantly, a flock 5 or 6 children swamped towards this small piece of bread which was covered with sand, robbing bits from one another. The natural reaction of hunger.
Stricken by the happenings, he instructed his guide to drive him to the nearest bakery. He arrived at two bakeries and bought every single loaf of bread he found in the bakeries. The owner was dumbfounded but willingly sold everything. He spent less than $100 to obtain about 400 loaves of bread (this is less than $0..25 per loaf)
and spent another $100 to get daily necessities.
Off he went in the truck full of bread into the streets. As he distributed the bread and necessities to the children (mostly handicapped) and a few adults, he received cheers and bows from these unfortunate. For the first time in his life he wondered how people can give up their dignity for a loaf of bread which cost less than $0.25.
He began to tell himself how fortunate he is. How fortunate he is to be able to have a complete body, have a job! , have a family, have the chance to complain what food is nice and what isn't nice, have the chance to be clothed, have the many things that these people in front of him are deprived of...
"Contentment is not the fulfillment of what you want, it is the realization of how much you already have ."
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

The 10 Secrets of Abundant Love
A book written by Adam J. Jackson, sent to me during my hardest time... A period where almost all family and friends left me alone because they could not agree with nor understand what I was doing. Something which I want to share with all my loved ones, especially you...
I found the book in the library and was never able to find it again. It seemed to be there, just waiting for me to borrow it. A little red book, which title caught my attention - The 10 Secrets of Abundant Love.
"We all crave love and loving relationships, perhaps more than anything else, and we all search for that one special relationship. Why is it, then, that so many people live their lives in loneliness, searching, hoping but rarely finding? If love is what we desire most, why are divorces and broken homes reaching unparalleled numbers? Why are there so many single parents struggling to raise a family alone? Why is it that, in cities filled with people, there are so many who feel so alone, so isolated? Could it be that we have been searching for love in the wrong place?
Contrary to popular belief, love is not the result of fate or luck, and it is not something we fall into or out of, it is something we create... and we all have the power to create it. We all have the power to love and to be loved, we all have the power to create loving relationships. It doesnt matter where we find ourselves - single and alone or entangled in an unhappy, stale relationship - life can change and we have the power to change it."

To Deed
Hehe... Hi Deed, long time since you last leave messages. Am glad that you did. :)
Furniture not all in yet. I guess they have to wait till Cny is over, which I dont know when... As you have known from my earlier post, the deliveries had been met with obstacles again and again. Haiz...
Know that you fell ill again... Do take good care of yourself, alright. My guess is that it might be due to your busy schedule - stress and lack of rest. Dont put too much pressure on yourself. Got to pamper yourself more, ya? Save some time for yourself and rest whenever you can.
Aqua is not one who likes confrontation. Being so close probably hurt her more to do so, upsetting you upsets her more too... Some of my 2 cents worth on her response... Friends dont bear grudges, I hope the both of you will be happy together again. Hugs...

Concerned
Read through Deed's blog... Something happened between. I wondered if things had been ironed out or... I dont know. It was because that Deed cared that was why she minded. On the other hand, it was because it was such a long relationship that people felt more easy with the other. Like what she said, there was no right or wrong. Two sides of a coin...
Because of the Cny holidays, things became more hectic in the office. Orders made before the holidays gotta arranged for payments. Shipments made over the holidays, I had to rush out the shipping documents. They were getting worse each year... Probably, it was a good thing that Boss made me stayed till 4.30pm on Cny Eve and till 2.30pm on the 3rd day of Cny?
Ah Jhun Didi flown off to Melbourne, Australia to further his studies on Monday evening. It was such a pity that I didnt get to send him off... To say that we were not worry about him was not true. Afterall, he was our little brother, he was Louye's youngest son. However, we also believed that he was big enough to take good care of himself. Jia you le, Didi!

1st Choice Furniture @ Rocher
Okies, the delivery service of 1st Choice Furniture sucks, it really sucks big time!
My hubby had arranged for the delivery of the furniture on 26th Jan which they said they could not make on time and asked to be postponed to the 29th Jan. My hubby even popped over to the shop to confirm the delivery timing with the salesman, which they gave the affirmative. Hence, I took leave to oversee as my dear was busy.
When we reached my new home on 29th Jan, thought that the delivery man was late and called up the shop to ask. The salesman said that we didnt confirm the timing and so they didnt send! Hadnt everybody confirmed on 27th Jan when my hubby popped over?
Okies, never mind. We made another arrangements to deliver on 4th Feb, time from 6-7pm. They confirmed and promised again and again to deliver all the furniture to us on time. But all in vain... Eventually, we only see our coffee table at the end of the day. Fed up!
They promised to deliver all on the next day from 3-4pm. This time we saved no efforts to call them every 1/2 to 1 hr to chase them, scold them and urgued with them why our furniture were not in yet. Again and again, their confirmations and broken promises...
Can you image how absurd they were? They asked us not to go to our new house to wait but to wait for their call 1st instead. They said that they will call us 1hr before delivery. But when we called them up to ask why they had not call us, and if they were going to deliver the furniture at all, they said we didnt call them to ask them to deliver and even dared to yell at us for the wrong they did! How absurd can they be?
It was so frustrating! From 3-4pm, they changed timing to 5-6pm, then changed timing again to 6-7pm, then yet again to 7-8pm. Eventually, at the end of that day, only the coffee table, dining table and the sofa came... The dining chairs were of the wrong designs. Haiz... Dont when and if all the furniture will be sent after Cny. Sianz...
