Updates

Auntie Sharon came over for a visit with cousin sisters yesterday. She even brewed and brought bird nest for me. Thanks Aunt. :) The card that the cousin sisters drew and gave me was so cute. Hehe...

Learnt that mum's hospitalisation was not that simple... She just had 2 operations. Wondered how is she now? Even Dreamer refused to let me know much details. They said dont want me to worry... Haiz...

Baby was discharged yesterday too. Ah Ma and all the Gu Chays popped over with gifts for baby. Wanted to let Baby put on the anklet that Ah Ma bought him when he is bigger but think that is not what Daddy is thinking?

Yee Gu Chay and Sei Gu Chay came over this morning to help bring Baby to the polyclinic for his checkup. Doctor said his jaundice level was good today, 155. Hopefully, it will remain so...

Visits

Aqua and Eneristar came over to my father-in-law's place to pay me a visit. Thanks girls. Thanks Dreamer and Deed for the gift too. Eneristar commented that Father-in-law's place looked like my parents' place. Hehe...

Hubby and Father-in-law were not around as they had left to send Baby to the hospital. His bilirubin level was getting too high and the polyclinic doctor wanted him admited into KKH straight away before it got dangerous?

We chatted about stuffs... Eneristar was lamenting that she still cannot find her Sammi Cheng CD. Sorry dear, it was not with me. Then we asked her if she wanted to go to the Sandy Lam Concert so we can get her a ticket as birthday pressie. :p

They left around 6.30pm. Not long after my Father-in-law called to say they were coming back and the doctor wished me to go down to do a blood test. Wondered what was wrong? Why was something not compatible?

Dreamer informed me that mum was admited into the hospital for the same problem again, stomachache... Probably going for an x-ray again to find out what's wrong? She said that she was going to pay her a visit and will keep me updated.

Was more relieved after paying a visit to KKH... Didnt do the blood test eventually... Didnt have to after confirming that my blood group is O+? Anyway, Baby's blood group is same as mine. There shouldnt be any incompatibility? At the same time, it was good to see that Baby was doing fine.

He cannot be discharged yet. Doctor said it was better for him to stay another day to lower the bilirubin level further. We asked if we can sun him. Not encouraged because Baby is sensitive, cannot be under strong sun for too long... Hmm...

Back From Barcelona

Sei Gu Chay was back from her holiday in Barcelona...

She chose to go to Barcelona earlier so that she will be back in time for Ah B's birth. Hehe... Well, Ren Suan Bu Ru Tian Suan... She said she got a shock when she received our message that Baby was coming.

Sei Gu Chay happened to be visiting the Fatima church. Hence, she went in and prayed for us. Every now and then, she will send phone text messages to us to check on mine and Baby's progress. :)

I was really surprised to see Sei Gu Chay when Yee Gu Chay and Ah Ma came over for a visit. Didnt expect to see her as I knew that she would be coming back today and had to get over her jet lag.

"Congrats new mum... Missed all the excitement an joy with the family..." "Welcome home new mum... Missed all the fun and fuss..." Hehe... I guess she cannot wait to see Baby... ^-^

Hubby Birthday

I guess hubby got the most wonderful birthday present ever...

In the afternoon, while my father-in-law was going cook lunch, KKH gave him a call... Said Ah B can be discharged from the hospital today. Yippee! Had been looking forwards to this day.

Informed Dar dar and he came back to fetch Ah B home, after which he had to return to his workplace. Ah B looked so small and fragile... He was sleeping soundly when Yee Gu Chay carried him back. Wondered when should I feed him...

Didnt pump any milk since afternoon. Tried to let him suck now and then but I guess he was not used to it. I took a nap as well as I waited and he slept on. Finally, I gave him the bottle at 6pm.

He was famished, he finished the whole bottle. Notty Ah B poo and as we tried to change his diaper, he pee as well. As a result, need to change his clothes and washed him up. Really Shuo Man Jiao Ran...

He hiccuped and sneezed and cried a little. Clothing are all too big for him though they are for 0-3 months. Received the hamper from my company's chairman. Now breast pain pain, engorgement...

Happy birthday, dear. Hope you had the most wonderful day ever. Stay happy always! ^.^

Happy birthday to my dear sister, Dreamer too! Wishing you always happy, always lovely! :) Hehe...

1st Anniversary

Today is our 1st year anniversary...

Thanks Dear for the past year together. Everything have been wonderful. Of course, there are arguements and conflicts at times but you will usually give way to me though I have been wilful. I know that it is precisely that you are concerned that you are angry with me, especially for not looking after myself as well as I should have.

Now that we have our first little bundle of joy, road in the future will be fraught with even more challenges. However, I like the way we have communicated with each other... Especially talking and discussing stuffs with each other before we went to bed/sleep.

Hope that our feelings for/relationship with each other will continue to deepen with each step taken, hand in hand... Love you, dear. ^.^

Delivery Of Baby

Baby wanted to come out earlier than expected... Much much earlier than expected. We didnt expect this early, thought would be about 2 weeks early or late only. But Ah B wanted to come out 4 weeks earlier.

Doctors said he had just passed the border line case. To be borne too early before 36 weeks would be dangerous because his body, his organs would not be mature enough to function yet. Sighs of relief?

Woke up early in the morning as usual and preparing for work. As I went into the bathroom to bath, found out that I had bloody show. Immediately cleaned myself up and let my hubby knew.

He woke up Louye who was in a daze. "Dad, send Snow to hospital..." "Huh? Why go hospital?" Haha... Then Dar dar called up his workplace to make rearrangements with his superior, going to take the day off to accompany me.

Dar dar was nervous and he drove really fast. We reached the hospital at 8+am where we registered. A nurse helped to hook up the equipment which indicated signs of contractions and a doctor came to check if I was diluting.

Stomach pains came on and off. After the examination, they said I had to be admitted. I was having mild contractions and diluted to 3 cm already. Decided to go to MacDonald and had Big Breakfast. Dar dar tried to feed me as much as he can as I will need the energy for later.

Got sent to the observation ward where a nurse hooked me up onto the contraction indication equipment again. Dar dar learnt to read the graphs and helped me rub my back whenever the contractions hit.

The nurse ordered lunch for me and encouraged me to eat something though I didnt really have much appetite. The pain was getting more intense... After lunch, waited for a long long time... Water bag still not burst... Resisted the urge to push...

By the time, I simply cannot resist anymore, told Dar dar and the nurse heard. They immediately asked for the doctor to come as having the urgue to push meant that the baby was coming.

The nurse also dont know what to do except to be at my side comforting me and keep calling for the doctor as they cannot push me down to the delivery suit without the doctor's order.

By the time, Dr Goh came over after an operation, I were already fully diluted. "No time to lose! Baby is coming out! Quickly push her down to the delivery suit! Bring a pair of gloves, just in case!"

I think they can see the baby's head already. "No time to change bed! Push her down immediately!" To the nurses and "Dont push! Dont push!" To me... How not to? Need to change to the delivery bed in the delivery suit.

I was having another hit of contraction. "I cant move! I cant move! Pain pain!" I was there screaming away? "We will help you over!" "She is having pain now!" So I waited and they waited till it passed and moved/lifted me as fast as we can.

I think Dr Goh burst the water bag and baby was out in a minute. I was completely exhausted... The nurses attended to Baby but he didnt cry. They cleaned him up and tried to make him cry but he still didnt cry.

Code blue was activited... A group of doctors rushed in to attend to Baby. But just as they came in, Baby cried out. Dr Goh focused on attending to me, stitching me up while Dar dar gave me the gas mask. No time to put any drip and finally some pain killer...

That was the end of the whole episode? Rested in the delivery suit till they had a bed for me in a ward. Dr Kew dropped by to see me after/because of the drama? Baby was sent to the special care nursery because he was premature and had to be put under observation.

Gu chays bought me a basket of flowers. Everybody was worried about me and they gave me encouragements and comforting words as soon as we got to see one another. Cried a little when I was being pushed up to the ward with everybody around me.

Everybody waited for me to have my dinner and settled down before they left, and/then had theirs. That was already 7.30pm. Dreamer and hubby dropped by after that. Was so touched...

Home

Went back my parents' place for dinner though my dad was not cooking. We had our dinner outside. Hehe... Ling and I spilt the bill. It was an enjoyable dinner. Haha... But think we ordered too much food. Hehe...

After that, Dar dar and I went back to our sengkang flat for the night. We took bus 89, a direct bus. During the journey, Dar dar commented that our flat was nearer to my parents' place, Ah Ma's place, further from Louye's place. Sayang sayang...

Loved the feeling back at Sengkang... Dar dar switched on all the lights first and I switched on the CD player for some music. We had a drink and our baths before settling down.

Dar dar opened the first box of Magic cards he bought after so long with all the ooohs and arhs... I folded and kept the clothes that we had washed and hang to dry last week... Cannot help and resist smiling as I watched him. It was a wonderful, peaceful moment.

Being Irresponsible

Our dear "Newguy" ought to know better than most people how operations in IKM is like...

PMP was a new program implemented by Canon to better manage the operation between themselves and the partners. In the beginning of the year, Gerald, "Newguy" and me went on a course for an introduction on this course. Randy and Danny didnt go because they had to return to the office to help pack some stuffs for Boss.

All of us had learnt PMP then and when Canon fully implemented PMP now... Yes, I am still the one processing/issuing the P/Os. Why? Read my earlier posts! Now, I am still the only one who bothers to read up, recap and do the PMP. Yes, I am going to have a temp to cover my duties when I am off for my maternity leave. But shame on you! If a perm didnt even know, what if the temp runs into problems and requires help?

Me: "If you didnt know, Randy, you can ask Ow. He had been to the PMP course with us."

Newguy: "What? I didnt know too."

Me: "You have to know. You have been to the course and if you also dont know, what happens if I am on my maternity leave, not around?"

Newguy: "Gerald can handle."

Me: "..."

Our Mr Gerald is in Myanmar most of the time and he cannot excess PMP over there. What makes you think that...? I detested "Newguy" even more...
