One Of Sara's Favourite Song

I'll Never Fall In Love Again/ Deacon Blue

What do you get when you fall in love?
A guy with a pin to burst your bubble
That's what you get for all your troubles.
I'll never fall in love again.
I'll never fall in love again.

What do you get when you kiss a guy?
You get enough germs to catch pneumonia.
After you do, he'll never phone you.
I'll never fall in love again.
I'll never fall in love again.

Dont tell me what is all about,
Cause I've been there and I'm glad I'm out,
Out of those chains, those chains that bind you
That is why I'm here to remind you

What do you get when you fall in love?
Nothing but pain
Lies and sorrow.
So, for at least until tomorrow,
I'll never fall in love again!
I'll never fall in love again!

What do you get when you fall in love?
I'll never fall in love again.
I'll never fall in love again.
I'll never fall in love again.
I'll never fall in love again.

A Reason, Season, Or A Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON....It is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that life is blind, but friendship is clairvoyant.

Weekends

Last Friday night, I stayed at Grandaunt's place. She told me to go over to drink herbal tea and her new doggie has came. He is so cute, always looking so forlorn. Grandaunt's family named him Boy but I called him Melancholic Prince. Hehehe... I played with him until I cannot bear to leave. That is why I stayed for the night.

I went back home on Saturday morning. In the afternoon, Mabel and I visited Mrs Kak, one of our secondary school teacher. Saw a few of our schoolmates there. Hahaha... Heard that 7-8 of them are teachers right now, mostly maths teachers. One of them said, "Behaviour of the students now are vastly different from our time. I got a shock when I first joined the school." Then another 7-8 are in the accounting/auditing line? And a majority of the rest are in engineering? One of them is a dentist. Heard Mrs Kak said that he wanted to check everybody's teeth when he was there. Hahaha...

In the evening, I met Minghui, Xiumei and Winnie for Minghui's birthday celebration. We went to Suntec to have steamboat. Hahaha... Ate so much that I thought my stomach was going to burst. The chicken soup base is nicer than the tom yam one. I had a large serving of ice-cream even though they only have the three basic favours though - vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Hahaha... We had an enjoyable time at the dinner. =p

I did not go anywhere on Sunday. Instead, I lazed around at home and watched the anime 'Cardcaptor Sakura Part 2'. The whole day passed just like that, peacefully...

Neighbour

Our office's next door neighbour had their grand opening today. Wow... It was really grand. Dont know what their company is dealing with though but Geraldine and I suspect that they could be dealing with recruitment. Hmm... I meant employment agency. Their company name is HR Partners afterall.

They had invited a lot of guests and ordered buffet. Not from Select nor Stamford though. Hehehe... Else I might know the people who sent the buffet. They had waiters to serve the guests and they used real plates and glasses. I supposed the buffet was not cheap. =p

Happy Valentines Day

There are moments when one person
Makes a special difference
That no one else can make.

You do nice things
Day in and day out
Things you never talk about

But everyone whose life you've touched
Values your relationship very much.

You have many gifts to share
So many ways YOU make the world more beautiful.
I am so glad you are in my life.

Wishing you much peace, love and happiness.
Have a Wonderful Valentine's Day My Dear Ones!

I Wish To Soar

I wish to be able to fly... I wish to be free...

Right on the first day of Chinese New Year, my mum made me very upset. “She just wants to get married only.” Mum exclaimed. “What for you send her to study so much then?!” That auntie said.

I know that teaching is a profession that I can go into. “She can go into teaching but she doesnt want to!” My mum said. “It is good and easy money, iron rice bowl!” What do they really know? Empty vessels make the most noise. How true it is indeed!

Many, many years ago, she told us that no matter how difficult it is, she will save up and give us the money to send us through university. When the time comes for her to do so, she claimed that she has no money, we will have to depend on ourselves. I used my dad’s cpf money to get through university. Even so, the amount left that she had to pay cash each semester made her grumbled and complained so much.

My ‘A’ Level results were not good enough to give me a place in the Business Faculty. Hence, I have neither the experience nor the knowledge to do what I really want to do. I have thought of pursuing a diploma but I know that I cannot afford it. I know better than to approach my parents for help. It is a waste of efforts.

That is also part of the reason why I am not a risk taker. I cannot be too confident. Circumstances have made it such that I cannot afford mistakes. I have no one to rely on except myself. Who will catch me if I fall?

Someday, when I have the means and am free to soar… They will be left far far behind…

Ktv Outing

Today, I went Ktv with Sara and gang. We went there at about 10.30am. Hahaha... We blur blur, Kbox was on the 2nd storey but we passed by and went to the 3rd storey and came down again. Anyway, we had lots of fun.

The room was very big and we had three microphones instead of the usual two. Hehe... Cousin Grace refused to sing so the three of us were hooked onto the respective microphones the whole session. There was also two televisions as well. The only thing not so good about the Kbox in Tampines was that they did not provide lunch for the K-lunch package as the outlets in other places did. I thought that they have standardised everything?

Then we went to Billy Bombers in Century Square for lunch. We ordered two sets of lunches. Sara and me shared the grilled salmon while Waikei and Grace shared the grilled ribs. Talked and ate and joked. Dont know why Grace was laughing so hard upon looking at Waikei somewhere through the lunch though. Hehehe... I was pretty amused. I really enjoyed myself. Hope that the rest of the girls did too. Maybe, we could do it again another time?

Pineapple Tarts

Hehe... Yesterday, we have a new colleague joining us in the office. Geraldine was not only told to give him a briefing and introduced him to the rest of the staffs, we had to give him a welcome lunch as well. As some of the staffs were not around, Geraldine asked me to join them. Alright, I agreed. Got free lunch at a restaurant, why not? Hehehe... We ate at Crsytal Jade. Ordered rice and a few dishes to be shared among. Oh... I like the claypot brinjal. It is superb. Yummy yummy. Hiong and Pk, next time we go Crsytal Jade, I want to eat this! Oh... And the roast pork!

I told JJ about Chinese New Year and goodies. Then, Cl told JJ that pineapple tarts are the best new year goodies. Hahaha... I know that Cl said so because pineapple tarts are Mabel's favourite goodies. -.- Anyway, now JJ is craving for pineapple tarts. Anyway, I happened to buy a cookbook with the pineapple tart receipe inside yesterday. Hehehe... Now, I can make for JJ, Mabel and Grandaunt. Pineapple tarts are also Grandaunt's favourite, you know. =p

Oh yes, by the way, I met one of my secondary school classmate on my way home from work today. I am rather surprised that she called out and greeted me. She is still able to recognise me! Hehehe... Luckily I am still able to recognise her. Frankly speaking, apart from Mabel, Xiumei and Minghui, there is nobody in my secondary school that I still keep contact with. We chatted a little and parted. Though I have no contact with them, I know that they still have news of me. Strange but I wonder why...

Raging Fires

Haiz... Home is a mess. My parents have been blowing their top lately. Chinese New Year is coming and they are worried whether they can complete their spring cleaning in time. Sorry, I wont help... I dont want to interfere and having to bear full responsiblities for all thereafter. I know them and I think they should be forced to clear up their own messes.

Serene's room has already been taken over by my Mum. She flared up everytime she came back to retrieve some of her stuffs. Before my Mum took over her room, Serene would come back and do spring cleaning to her room for the new year. This year, she said, "No way I am coming back to clean their messes! Do it themselves!" Hahaha...

Sara and me hide in our room to avoid all the raging fires outside. Hehe... Our little room is our little world. Yes, there are a few times that Mum wanted to intrude into our little room. Sara and me moved her out before more harm could be done. Yes, she went around complaining to people that we dont allow her into our room. But compared to losing our little world, that is a small price to pay indeed.
