Dinner and Dance 2005

The Dinner and Dance 2005 was held in Traders' Hotel. It was nice and fun.

All of us had a door gift which was a pair of pens. We socialised around with our drinks in our hands, and muching on nuts and potato chips before the dinner started. A lot of colleagues dressed up specially for the event. As for me, I chose to be simple.

There were only 6 tables in total, I chose one that had the most people I know - Table No 4. 3 Muslim colleagues joined our table. Of course, while we were served the chinese menu, they were served differently - the muslim one.

After the address by Mr Wu, the dinner started. Amidst the dinner, we had games and lucky draws. I was lucky. I got the No 26 prize, which was a hamper of goodies. My one month older than me colleague was even much luckier, he got the 1st prize! His prize was a 26 inch LCD television! Lol...

In the end, they had disco and countdown 2006. However, I left early with some of my colleagues. Dont wish to return home too late, it was already 11.15pm when I left. One of my colleague told me that it was difficult to heed cab around that time but I was lucky another time, I managed to get one soon after I walked out. ^-^

Can Die

Honestly, dont know what is wrong with me... I have been complaining about being blind and indeed I am! Arggggggh! I made a very grave mistake at work today. Am putting my fingers very very crossed that nothing serious will happen, that I wont get into deep trouble. Why is it that the more I try to do better, the more prone I am to mistakes? This is so ridiculous! Simply ridiculous! Am feeling like a complete failure...

Amazed And Amused

Mum told Dad, " Oh dear, I am going into Johor with my friends tomorrow and I forgot to change some currency for the trip." My dad handed her the money. Did that do the trick?

Some days later... My dad was trying to apply medicine by himself. Mum told him sweetly, " Come here. I help you to put the medicine. Dont keep scratching it or it will get worse." O.o

Commotion brewed not long ago was - They might get a divorce. My mum want to sell the house so that she can get half of the money back. Then she will go and live with one of my auntie. o.O

Honestly, I am sooo amazed and amused by my family.

MapleStory

Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to you... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Winnie! Tomorrow, we are meeting for a steamboat dinner in celebration of your birthday. Hope you are looking forwards to it. And hope that you are looking forwards to your birthday gift as well. For your information, we are going to take photos! =p

I am now a level 22 archer in MapleStory. Hahaha... I started playing because Winnie is playing. Wondered when is Mei going to join us? Gracy can play MapleStory with us now. O.o Puzzled puzzled... Maybe they used to group the people into the different servers by their country of residence but now, they group the people by their citizenship?

Quiet Busy Saturday

Usually, I dont have much things to do on Saturday. Today is one of the busiest. I checked through the confirmation orders, finished the drafts for two sets of L/Cs and keyed two purchase orders. They did not pass me more work, I sat quietly at my desk with my head over whatever I have. Hahaha... Peace and quiet.

The only drama was when a courier man from another company came with 4 documents for our parent/sister companies. Usually the receptionist outside will handle all such stuffs but there was no receptionist today. I sit the nearest to the main door so... He came in and found me. Lol... Dont know what I should do. Luckily, there were a couple of more senior colleagues around. Angeline told me where to find the chop and the respective persons to pass the parcels to. Thank goodness!

What Is Happening

I hope that the world is more peaceful than it is now. Bali suicide bombings... Jordan suicide bombings... And where else, I cant remember the rest of them now. Life is already chaotic enough on its own with bombardments from the ups and downs. I dont think we need others to add onto the chaos.

I wish to go away and slow down. Dont know what is wrong with me lately. Stressed? Out of the 5 L/Cs I am doing, 2 were on hold, 2 bounced back because of discrepencies, 1 was accepted but not credited yet. Is work not smooth or am I just getting kind of depressed? Somehow, something is missing because the weekends are not enough to refresh me.
