Woke up early in the morning and did another check that all were in order. Guess we had already packed in the stuffs that we were supposed to bring?
It was 6 hrs flight, had our lunch on board and everyone took a little nap. Soon, we were reaching our destination. China is a agricultural country unlike Singapore. The landscape looked so different. The local tour guide came to fetch us and sent us to have our dinner before we went to the hotel for the night. Had a little walk around the shopping centre near our hotel. Cold cold at night...
On 21st November, the 2nd day in China, we took the 8am transfer flight to ChangSha in the Hunan Province where we will be taking the coach to ZhangJiaJie. After we had checked in and seated properly in our seats, the pilots found some faults with the plane. As a result, we were delayed the whole morning.
By the time we reached the airport in ChangSha, it was after 2pm. Such a relieve to be able to see our local tour guide, XiaoDeng. Because of the delay, we got to have our lunch on board. However, the food was not nice so XiaoDeng sent us to a restaurant to have a 2nd lunch. Then we took a coach to the Wall of Poems. Seen a couple of Deng Xiao Ping's works. Wow...
We went to the hotel 1st before we came out to have our dinner. Still not very used to their food which were either too salty or oily or hot. Hehe... However, I believed everyone enjoyed having the meals together.
On 22nd November, our 3rd day in China, XiaoDeng told us that we had to go buy the diesel for our tour bus. As it was the winter season time, Hunan was very short of fuel. Since the river which they used to transport the fuel dried up, they had to use those oil tankers to do the tranportation.
Then we took the coach all the way to FengHuang Old Town. However, it was further delayed by a road accident on the mountain way. Both side of the roads were jamed till the victims from the accident were moved and sent away by the ambulance. By the time we reached the town, it was already near evening. Bought the well known Ginger candy there.
23rd November, 4th day in China, we went up the ZhangJiaJie mountain area. Spent almost the whole afternoon there. 1st, we went to the 10 Mile Gallery where we took a train ride to and fro, viewing the stone mountain peaks. Saw the "3 Sisters", the "Heavenly Dog", the "Old Doctor" etc...
Next was to one of the stream leading in that place. They had one in each direction. Erm... Forgotten which direction the one we went to is from... Lol...

25th November, 6th day in China was our last day in Hunan. We went to ShaoShan, Deng Xiao Ping's old house to have a look. It was situated behind 2 ponds and in front of a mountain. Everybody said it had such good fengshui... At night, we went for a cruise dinner. Enjoyed the cold windly breeze.
26th November, 7th day in China. We took a flight to ChongQing, where our local tour guide, XiaoZhong met us. Sei Gu Chay's luagguage bag spoilt and the airport gave her a new small bag in return. XiaoZhong also brought us to their Old Town, shared with us the interesting history of ChongQing. Ah Ma liked him a lot.
27th November, 8th day in China. We took a long ride, about 7hrs, to Southern Sichuan where we stayed for 2 nights. The resort which we stayed was cold cold. Didnt feel so well the next day and made everybody worried for me, especially Dardar...
28th November, 9th day in China. We went to the Bamboo Forest and Stone Forest. Bamboo forest was nice and cooling but lots of walking. Since, I was not feeling too well, didnt want to force myself. Hence, missed out one of the Bamboo Forest site that we were suposed to visit. I Iike the Stone Forest visit. We saw the extinct Ba Tribe hanging on the cliff coffins, saw the Miao Tribe King's home, etc... Which I think is very interesting.
29th November, 10th day in China. We took the coach back to Chonqing. Had a better look at the night view of ChongQing. Heard XiaoZhong said that they had light displays every night.
30th Novmber, 11th day in China. We were taking the midnight flight back to Singapore. The hotel was kind enough to let us have one of the rooms to extend our check out time. XiaoZhong brought us to the JieFanBei to shop and Yee Gu Chay bought me a jacket, which the sleeves can be separated and be used as a vest.
Had our Chonqing Steamboat dinner. Not as hot as it seemed to be though it was all chilli oil. Dardar said the Chonqing Steamboat in Sichuan was much much hotter though XiaoZhong said theirs were not the real thing.
Boarded the flight at 12.30am and reached Singapore around 6.30pm. Reached home around 7am and straight to bed we went. Though I had enjoyed the trip lots but home is still the best. Home sweet home...
